Gary Neville says that Leeds United should make a stand against Liverpool over the proposed European Super League.

The decision for the Reds to agree to becoming one of 12 founding clubs of the proposed new league has been met with widespread criticism and controversy.

Liverpool are one of six Premier League clubs to agree to the plans, along with Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham.

There are also three clubs from Spain – Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid – and three from Italy – AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus – who have also agreed to take part.

Amid the news over the proposed new league, Liverpool will be busy preparing for their Premier League clash against Leeds United.

The Reds take on the Whites at Elland Road and the game will be broadcast on Monday Night Football, with Neville presenting the show alongside Jamie Carragher.

Ahead of the game, Neville has continued on from his viral rant to suggest that Leeds should just let Liverpool win tonight in protest of the Super League plans.

Neville wrote on Twitter: “Leeds players should walk to the side of the pitch and just let them keep scoring! They don’t want competition.”

Neville didn’t stop there, with another tweet later on adding: “Join us if you like for Leeds v Greeds.”
